Lewiston Housing

I was recently nearing the top of this list for a voucher with Lewiston Housing Authority. I had a phone conversation with the assistant manager Lisa. I agree with some of the other reviews on here about her. She is rude, impatient, and interrupts you before you answer a question SHE just asked. There was also a review on here questioning why Lisa is still in her position. This is a great question? Lisa has no patience and no passion for her work. Long story short I was informed by Lisa that she could not give me a voucher right now because there was an error in my electronic application. (not complaining about this part). She told me there was nothing that could be done at the time about it due to my error. I tried to ask some more questions but Lisa’s final words to me were “we have been on the phone for 8 minutes now” it had been 6 minutes. She rushed me off the phone with that comment. Recently things did not work out with my last apartment. Became homeless. I have been staying in my car, a hotel a few times and friends couch’s in Lewiston. I am also disabled. I could have really used that voucher at this point. Lisa also told me when this happens I go back on the list, but not at the bottom at least. As soon as she hung up, I went to my electronic application and fixed it. Called back and asked to speak to the Manager Barbara. She was more pleasant to speak to. Barbara said she is aware of the reviews about Lisa on here. I told Barbara my personal experience with this woman. Barbara made me aware that my name could get pulled again within next few months. That’s great news. The thing is, since Lisa is the assistant manager she is the only one who gives out vouchers. I now have to speak to this woman again when my name gets pulled. I am dreading this phone call with Lisa, when my name is pulled again. I’m also scared that Lisa may see my name and now this review and decide right there not to even pull it or send me a letter? I would hope this wouldn’t be tolerated or is even possible.. This is just how this woman, Lisa, made me feel. I felt prejudged and belittled. I guess I may come back here to write another review once my name gets pulled again. So to be continued...

They gave me a place to live and I didn't have one desperately trying to rebuild my life for my daughter they continuously call and ask if I need anything and try and help me out.

I have to say that the Lewiston Housing Authority is one of the most unprofessional and hostile environments there is, compared to Auburn. I really don’t understand how Lisa is allowed to work there. She is so rude, disrespectful and degrading. She cuts people off and talking to them in very demeaning and belittle manner. Particularly, she goes on a power trip with immigrants folks. I know people on her caseload who dread talking to her just based on how she makes them feel. She is, unfortunately, notorious for being really rude. It would be particularly shocking to me if a grievance has not been filed against her.nnLisa CHOSE to work in a environment where she has to deal with people of varies backgrounds. If she can’t be expected to act professional in a place like the housing authority, I wonder why she is even there.nnAdditionally, using the mic to talk to people in a LOUD way announcing peoples’ personal information to the people sitting in the waiting area is another concern.

I'm not a fan of lisa she is very rude not a happy person at all and I dread calling and having to talk to her
