I have lived in TX, SC, WA, and now IL and have driven between them all. Banana Cherry Bakery is by far the best I have ever been to. The whole family is wonderful and welcomes you into their shop with love and kindness that we unfortunately don't see as often these days. The options to choose from are all good and you cannot help but get more than you intended because it all looks, smells, and tastes amazing! Something for everyone in the family/workplace here. Thank you all at Banana Charry Bakery for your hard work and talent.
I love everything here but today was the first time trying their biscuits and gravy. Amazing! I'm from the South and haven't found any in Rockford that I like until today. Best I've EVER had!
This is the best bakery in Rockford hands down. The pastries are nothing short of Parisian-level pastries. The pot pies are to die for - but they are pretty buttery so they might be too much if u have them every day haha. The muffins are moist and delicious. So many pastries I'd never heard of but better than anything I've had. The staff are incredibly nice and take orders regularly. Say hi and tell them how wonderful their food is! We need to keep this business going here! Places like this are what make Rockford very special!!!
Limited hours. Baked items are fantastic. If they were open more, I would be twice my size!
NOT your typical grocery store pastries! You can tell that lots of skill and effort went into these delicious treats. My family was so impressed, especially with the eclairs, and the fruit danishes. The warm, welcoming environment of the bakery was also a major plus...I will be back!
