What an amazing experience we had with The Holiday Inn Express in Mokena, IL. My husband and I utilized this hotel for multiple reasons: wedding guests’ room block, rented out one of the conference rooms for our wedding rehearsal dinner, & my husband and I also stayed here for a couple of the nights. First, convenience: our guests LOVED that they were only a 3 minute drive from Tuscany Falls, our wedding venue. Second hospitality: special shout out to Ms. Kira White for her PHENOMENAL customer service. She was so sweet, kind, helpful, AND informative to not only our guests, but my wedding party, my parents, and myself and husband. She provided creativity and space suggestions when we needed to rehearse. Finally, the space: the large conference room was PERFECT for our rehearsal dinner. It fit my party of 20 comfortably, with enough space to still spread out. The hotel room was spacious, quiet, and so modern. We cannot thank you all for being a successful experience in our wedding journey. I would absolutely recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Mokena, IL for any future couple’s wedding needs.

We live in Mokena and decided a few weeks ago to have a staycation at this hotel for a night and let our two children, 6 and 8, swim to their hearts’ content. To make sure the pool was open, we called two weeks before our stay, at which time they told us that they couldn’t know for sure that the pool would be open, but that it was open currently. Midweek the week before our stay, we called again and actually made the reservation at which time we were told the pool was indeed open. Finally, we called the MORNING OF OUR STAY at 10:00 to make sure the pool was open and told the desk person that our SOLE reason for coming to the hotel was for the pool. We were told the pool was open and, in fact, we could check in early (1:00). How nice!nnSo you can imagine our frustration when we actually checked in a few hours later and were told that the pool was actually closed. Not only that, but the red headed woman at the front desk was incredibly rude about the whole event. She said she had to wait for the GM to open the pool, but that she didn't have a way to contact the GM herself (clearly a lie: what if there was a robbery or fire? Would she be able to reach the GM then?). A very pleasant employee was actually working on the pool, not 25 yards from the front desk mind you, and he said the pool was fine for swimming and that we could go in right away. The front desk person didn't know who was working on the pool and iterated that she had to wait for the GM. Mind you, this is the Mokena HIE, there can't be more than 5 or 6 people working there on a Friday afternoon in February and she doesn't know who is working on the pool? She only got more rude from there so we just bypassed her entirely and went swimming and were fine. She definitely soured the experience though.

From the moment my family and I entered this facility, we were blown away by the ambiance and service. They had a beautiful lobby, conference area, and common area. It was updated and modern, and beautifully decorated for the holidays. At check in, we had an issue where a family member had reserved the room but was not present, so the front desk person Steven transferred everything in my name. His energy and service were above and beyond. He found a solution promptly and with a smile on his face. He accommodated my kids and myself by offering drinks and snacks. I felt as welcomed as I do in a family member's home. He was efficient and quick and before we knew it, we were on our way through the sparkling clean hallways and into our room. The room was equipped with luxurious natural products, new appliances, and amazing bedding. The mattresses were like clouds. Steven even hooked us up with extra bedding to accommodate my kids with their fort creations. The pool area was the perfect temperature in and out of the water. The pool maintenance guy was pleasant and the pool was tended to. The breakfast the next morning was hot, fresh and delicious and presented beautifully. We brought in a NEW year after a tough 2020 with smiles on our faces and comfort in our hearts because of this hotels accommodations and service. We are so grateful and can't wait to come back.

WOW, this is the second time I had to post this review-it mysteriously disappeared. I contacted Holiday Inn Corporate Chain 3 separate times. The general manager will not return my calls or answer the phone when the Holiday Inn corporate office calls. Check reviews on other sites, since honest reviews are erased here.nThis hotel is across the street from a dispensary. Keep that in mind if you want to stay here with your family. There was so much smoke throughout the hotel(from pot) that it seeped into our room and we were forced to check out within an hour of arriving because my entire family started coughing and having trouble breathing(this was at 6PM local time) The smoke in the stairwell was so strong our throats were burning. This is a SMOKE FREE hotel, or that is what is advertised. The lady at the desk offered to move our room- I refused and checked-out. The hotel ended up charging me for the entire stay, I filed a complaint with the corporate office, they said it would be resolved in 48 hours. No response. I called after the 48 hours and they want me to give them another 48 hours. I called the general manager of the hotel and left message, no answer.I NEVER write reviews, but wish I had known that I was walking into a hotel that allows this sort of thing, would never have booked the reservation there. Had to give one star, but doesn't deserve that.

The family did a weekend getaway here and the service was great. Keith was outstanding in serving us breakfast and made sure all our needs were met. The room we were in was cleaned exceptionally well with no evidence of any insects. We will definitely stay here again in the near future. Also they had a full house and service was perfect!
