I was having right upper abdominal pain that wasn’t getting better so I decided to go to the ER to make sure it wasn’t something serious. I was really nervous because of all the bad reviews I saw on here. I just moved here and am used to the nasty health care workers in my old state so I braced myself to go to this ER and prepare for the worst. Boy was I surprised! Everyone from the front desk lady, to the triage nurse, to my nurse, doctor and cat scan techs were so extremely nice. I was very happy with my care and would definitely go back if need be.

doctor's are nice but the hospital itself is very bad. staff do not seem trained. and if the doctor asks you to get some labs done, DO NOT USE THE LABS IN THE HOSPITAL if you can. Ask for the codes and ask your insurance where to go for specific tests. FHN charges an absurd amount of money for lab tests. I assume they do it because they are the only big facility in Freeport. They over charge you for everything. When I told them how much i was being charged for a procedure, they said someone probably coded it wrong and they'll fix it. 4 months in they never fixed it and then told me the code was right.

FHN was wonderful to me. I went in wheezing and dying from a pulmonary arrest in action. They took me in immediately and went to work with a chest x-ray and a covid test. The nurse was so sweet and nice to me. She was really my advocate and I'm very happy with the hospital. The Dr. was in and out of the room very very quickly but I understand that. Kind of like a lawyer they make so much money they feel higher up than us mortals but again that's ok.

I went in for a procedure in the imaging area of the hospital. The Doctor and the nurses were very nice and professional, they made a stressful procedure much better! The hospital seems well maintained and clean. Kami was the person I dealt with most and she is awesome!

I was told I absolutely can not bring my breastfed 5 month old with me in the emergency room. I guess I’ll just sit on the bathroom floor withering in pain. I understand the virus protocol but this is ridiculous.
