I was referred to Optim Dental by Heartland Clinic for my son. The staff at the clinic know that he is profoundly handicapped. I spoke to the office manager TWICE explaining my son's demeanor and she assured me that they would start by trying a basic exam and possibly x-rays if they could get them. Then I arrive there today and the dentist refused to even try to look in his mouth, said he isn't trained for special needs. He said I would have to take my son to Chicago, which is not true. He was in no way warm or empathetic to me or my son. The office staff told me they have no affiliation to Heartland Clinic so I guess I was just referred there because they take Medicaid. This us the 3rd time I have been to a chain, storefront type of dentist office and each time was a horrible experience. The others were Familia and Aspen Dental. Optim and these others are like the fast food version of dentistry. Will not recommend them to anyone.

I have nothing but good things to say about the care I have gotten from the entire business at campus town ... the dentist is wonderful.. the techs that work for him work hard to make you feel comfortable.. they do a great job explaining their work. Thanks ..

The person or person's answering the phone tells you whatever it takes to get you to come in, once you are a client then the story changes. I was told it would take a month & a half all up to go through the process & have my dentures. Now they are telling me 6wk wait for impressions & another 2 months for dentures, all the while knowing I'm getting married in May! Had I been given the truth I'd have a beautiful smile for my wedding, now I'm stuck toothless! So Not Impressed! Extremely disappointed & wouldn't recommend these guys for anything.

Literally one of the worst experiences of my entire life. This dentist was trying to handle seven patients at once and literally ripped a molar out of my head without numbing me fully, with no assistant- shoved a piece of gauze in my mouth and just left me to bleed out. I wish I was kidding right now. I had to stumble out of the room crying and holding handfuls of my own blood pouring from my mouth to find help. This is THE ONLY DENTIST in Peoria that takes my insurance and I would rather have all of my teeth rot out of my head than to ever go back into this place.
