Very courteous and professional, just the epitome of what police officers should be. I was recently fishing the Illinois river in Hennepin and became stuck at the river’s edge in a severe storm on July 11 th., around 8:15 pm as the storm was beginning. Two of the sheriffs police, a resident named Doug, and the fire chief who was just excellent, I think he was accompanied by another fireman. Even the dispatch whom stayed on the phone with me and called several times, (I think her name began with an A). I owe all these guys, and gal lunch or dinner. In these days and times, I was truly blessed to have met all of them on that night. I have fished Hennepin Illinois for well over 15 years. It is a great town with great people with big hearts. It’s a hidden gem in Illinois. Thanks to the fire chief, the sheriff’s department, and the people of Hennepin for welcoming me and helping me when I needed it most. I will never forget and Hennepin is a big part of this country boy.
