I purchased a car in April and asked the salesman prior to buying if he would recommend a third party inspection company...big mistake !!! He went on to recommend Chuck Barnes from Barnes automotive to third party inspection. After speaking to Chuck I agreed to buy the car as well as start a process of working with Chuck on estimates on the car. After working on and off for 2 months I come to find out by a receptionist in North Shore that Chuck is the owner of both North Shore Classics as well as Barnes the supposed third party company that was recommend to me. A total scam !!! The owner Chuck misrepresented himself a bait and switch !!nI have reported them to the better business bureau to find out they do this all the time...nPlease stay away !!! When confronted Chuck said it doesn't matter that I told you it just matters that the car is good...well the car when picked up had both the driver side mirror and the passenger side mirror were missing....you just don't sell a car this way. No customer service, held my car hostage, and them wanted to charge me for an estimate...

North Shore Classic is by far the best professional business that I have had the pleasure to deal with. I just purchased a Daytona Yellow 1970 Corvette. Purchasing this vehicle was the easiest experience I have ever had. Kevin and his team talked me through everything. If you are looking to purchase a classic car this is the place to go . My 1970 has a forever home and I just love this car. Thank you again Kevin,Jimmy, Christy......very happy customer..Pamela Gay from Pennsylvania!!!!!

Browsed this shop with my Wife recently, with specific interest in one vehicle in inventory.nn- No one greeted us.n- No one spoke to us the entire 45min we were in the showroomn- Most employees we saw were not wearing face coverings (at all) during a pandemic indoors With customers in the shop.n- The specific vehicle we came to see was covered in some sort of water spots as if something had leaked on it and had not been cleaned in sometime. There were also notable defects in the car not outlined in the description of the vehicle. I felt as though the pictures taken were purposely done in a way that tried to hide or minimize these defects.nnBased on our experiences, I’d recommend any one interested in a vehicle here to ask lots of questions, personally inspect it and lastly, drive it before you buy it so there are no surprises.nn((( Since I cannot respond to the below remarks, I’ve added one here... my experience may be different than others. Numerous employees walked past us... we had to move out of their way so they could do so. They were not wearing masks. They did not acknowledge us in anyway. Not even a “hi” or head nod. It’s cool if you want to do low pressure sales... that is your business; it is prerogative. The vehicle we came to see was the 92 black Corvette convertible. There are significant stains all over the front of the vehicle including damage to the bumper. The back deck lid is covered in what appears to be dried gross water stains that have been there for sometime. They appear to be thick and anyone who actually looked at the vehicle would notice them instantly. Based on your response below I will now certainly avoid any interest in any of your vehicles )))

I cannot explain how much I would not work with this business unless you are local and can go inspect a vehicle yourself before working with them. We put down a deposit and were told it was contingent upon the inspection and are now being told it was non-refundable. When we went and saw the 1967 black Camaro that is currently listed, it had no water running through the engine, signs of rust, and the suspension was not working properly. This vehicle is listed as being fully restored and that is not the case. We had every intention of purchasing this vehicle for the sticker price if it had been what was communicated when we got there. We drove a total of 17 hours round trip and were told we would be hearing back this week. After three days of trying to get in touch with the manager, we were informed that she had not been told about this and the salesman we worked with was out of town and she would not be calling him. At this point, we are basically being ghosted over a deposit that was supposed to be refundable based on the inspection of the vehicle. So, we are out an entire weekend of our time as well as $500 over a vehicle with many non-reported issues. If you are in the market for a classic car, check out somewhere more reputable like Gateway Classic Cars. We have worked with them the last week and the experience could not have been more black and white.

1972 Monte Carlo- Jerry was wonderful to work with and I drove down to meet with him a couple of times to look at the car. He was very attentive and helped me out where he could on price and service. Really thoughtful and I’ll be back for future purchases down the line. Thanks Jerry! -Eric B.
