Beautiful home, beautiful location. Felt at home. First time staying overnight in the area, and will definitely be back. A great weekend escape
This beautifully preserved old home is a historical treasure in itself! So many memories came back from my childhood here in Ottawa at my home I grew up in, and also from Grandma's house! Dana is a fantastic host, very generous offering the home main floor for our family gathering. You will feel right at home here and the coffee IS AMAZING! Very close to good eats and historic downtown Ottawa. Great view of the Fox and Illinois River junction from the top of the bluff next to Allen Park.
Great old home with wonderful views of the river. Feet away from the former site of an early militia fort where a young Lincoln signed enlistment papers. Attentive host, great breakfast, comfy bed. What more could I ask for
Great place to stay with family! The host was the nicest woman ever! Spacious rooms in a cute old fashioned house. Very peaceful spot and right across the street from a peaceful walk along the river
My family of 15 and I stayed a weekend here for our birthday party and all I can say is WOW! Dana's hospitality was heartfelt and amazing, we'll be seeing you again soon!
