We stopped in for some breakfast before hiking at Starved Rock. Very friendly staff, coffee cup never went empty. The biscuits and gravy had to be just about the best in Illinois, I'm not kidding. My wife had the bacon sandwich, loaded with bacon. This is definitely worth a stop.

Stopped at Joy and Ed's after a hike at nearby Starved Rock. Pretty good mushroom burger on a brioche bun. Burger was cooked a little more well done than I like, but I didn't specify how I wanted it, so my bad. Creamy coleslaw was yummy. Fries were standard. They have other options like bar chips or sweet potatoe fries.

Great food and the staff was friendly! They were very clean and wore their masks. Outdoor seating way available.
