Nice views, winter or summer! Boating, kayak, fish, or just hang on the deck or the pier on the river. Biking groups all over, and the Hotel is Bike Riders “Silver Rated”. Walk to downtown, GREAT little restaurants downtown Algonquin. 10 minutes to numerous other restaurants and major shopping. 5 minutes to snowboarding park and tubing at Raging Buffalo. 5 minutes to free range farm, for milk, chickens, turkey, south off 31. 20 minutes to Schaumburg. Quiet, centrally located, & casual living. A few years there for me. Low rent for actually living on the river, and across from Port Edwards. Got to love the owners, too.

Great views. Well kept building and yard. The landlord is very attentive, responsive, and approachable. I stayed here 3 months while on a travel work assignment. Highly recommended this spot.

They offer weekly rates which was helpful for me when I wasn't sure how long I was going to stay at a previous company. It's definitely more of a quiet place but everyone is friendly, including the owner. He's very polite and if there's an issue with anything, he resolves it quickly.nThe best part about this place is the location. The Fox River is right in the back yard and can be viewed from the rear deck from the house, as well as the windows of all the river-facing rooms. It's also walking distance from Downtown Algonquin, hiking trails and 2 parks.

Talk about a beautiful view, just steps from the Fox River. Access to old town Algonquin is the coup d'état. The landlord was attentive to my every need! Loved my time there!

Honestly,nIf I could give this hotel less than one star I would. It's not even based on how my stay there had been. It's based on the fact that I had not received any form of communication back from the hotel. I had called the number listed for them at least 3 times, leaving 3 separate voicemails. Left them a Facebook message and even emailed them as well, to no avail, no message or call was made by them in return. The reservation line states that you will hear back within 24hrs. It has now been a week since the first call was made. My boyfriend and I are currently between living situations and were informed about this hotel due to the cost and how close it is to our jobs. It's quite disappointing to me to write this review based on not even being contacted back about staying there, instead of how the stay went. With temperatures currently fluctuating and gas prices where they are, staying here would have benefited us very much. Sorry to give your facility less than 1 star (figuratively by technicality, literally by experience), however, had we been contacted back on any channel, this review would be reflecting in a different light.nnHave a good day.
