Proviso East High School

I went to Proviso East from 2007-2011 were I graduated top 5%. As far as I am concernd proviso was a good school not great but good, the bathroom stalls are small but what should you expect from a school that hasn't had cosmetic surgery since the 50s-60s. As far as roaches and rats I had never seen any at east but there where other bugs seeing the school is next to the des plains river and next to the forest reserve. The teaches taught and students were student(maybe some time). If you were taught good home training and use that knowledge then this is not the school you

I am a alumni from this great school. I entered as a ninth grader 1997 and graduated as a senior 2001. This school is what you make it. If you the parent teach your child or children how to not to be a follower but to be a leader then your views of MY would be different. Sorry that you & your children missed out on a great school. Because teachers do teach & students do learn just like any other school in different levels.nP. S. stop disrespecting MY school.

This Is an outstanding School with innovative Educators and curriculum. Proviso East has transformed into a High School that is student centered, and academically innovative with career academies and opportunities for Students.

I would think twice before sending my children to this school It is so disappointing to see a school, and a school district, that would allow a student, who went above and beyond to achieve academic excellence, to be stripped of his coveted Valedictorian position. How many students receive better than a 4.0 grade point. I don't know this for a fact, but I can pretty much guess that no one on the school's administrative staff did! I am also disappointed in the other student that stepped up as a replacement. How could you accept something you didn't deserve? It amazes me that they would teach our children to think it's okay to cheat your way to the top. I hope that in 10 years when the deserving student have earned his college degrees, that he will earn 10 times more money then the pathetic staff that allowed this happen. I know that he will achieve his dreams, and get the riches he deserves. It's just a shame that he had to face such a disappointment today.

Proviso east holds some good indoor track meets that move along smoothly when I last went to compete here
