Coming from a student who has gone here it’s one of the worst schools to send at least an older kid to. Maybe being young they don’t understand what’s going on but a bigger kid you’re basically stripping away a lot of unnecessary things. They have rules for every single thing. From the no jewelry/earrings to if you don’t say high to a “faculty”(you have to refer to them as faculty not staff.) you will be having a talking to in which they send you to an area where they deal with behavioral/emotional issues. In high school perspective, it’s very laughable. It’s just elementary like. Maybe slightly middle school because you do switch classes. However, during breaks they scorn you for talking and you’re highly watched every minute. You have a point sheet. Whatever you do maybe not even intentionally you couldn’t earn that point. It’s bit very leaneant. The classes are good and well structured. Faculty does care about their students if they know them longer but it’s a lot of favoritism. They also won’t let you talk about anything bad(even though it’s high school? What do you expect in another one. ud83dude02) there’s also constant phone calls the social workers do. Most of the time parents don’t like to hear incidents at school once on the phone then on paperwork? My mom at least just started using paperwork as scratch paper. Sometimes “incidents” like not wearing a coat outside will put you in what they call in-school suspension. When you did get in trouble & you really didn’t agree you’d have to agree with the staff to move forward with your day. In the end, I think anyone should go here unless they have an emotional/behavioral disorder is that severe.nI was labeled with the emotional disorder spectrum. I needed that type of support when I was younger but as time went on I didn’t need that high level of care. My last year here I excelled in many many ways but they get into too much of your outside life. Now I go to another alternative school which is supposedly has a bad name but it’s helped me realize how trapped I was. Being at the school made me feel like there were an edema up my ass all the time. This was an account not only for myself but SEVERAL people I have spoken to who are excelling after just leaving the school.

If you want to traumatize your child for life this is the school for you. Now known as Britten School, Macneal is more child prison then education facility. They will restrain your child and lock them in a room if they misbehave as obedience is the priority of the staff at Britten School.
