I was a bit stressed to get a vehicle for personal reasons, but the salesperson, Bryan, made it a relaxed experience for me. I really appreciated the personable experience and feeling that I got a good deal up front. I will definitely return when I am ready to buy my next vehicle.

Took car in for first oil change since I had it. Bought car used, program vehicle with 2100 miles. Salesman told me first oil change was free. When I arrived service writer ask me about car, told him first time there and first oil change, and this is where I bought the car. He looked up info and said no charge since its first one. Asked if I wanted tires rotated, it was included with oil change, I said sure.nWhen they were doing service Mechanic called me and said it was not first oil change and to rotate tires also would cost about $75.nI asked a sales person close by, the one I bought from wasn't there, the did checking with a couple people and finally to new car sales, and they said do oil change for no charge, but had me pay for tire rotation when I was told it was Included with oil change! Not a Happy customer. There is a dealer closer I can go to next time.

I know it’s lengthy but please read the whole review. I Recently purchased a very nice used vehicle at Baum Chevrolet in Clinton IL, the buying experience from start to finish was a pleasure, no high pressure sales pitch or BS. The salesman (Tony) was great he did everything in his power to get me a deal I was comfortable with along with some added perks such as delivering the vehicle to my wife’s work place in Springfield. Like I say I bought a great suv (Yukon) it was a higher mileage vehicle so I knowingly bought it “as is no warranty implied” I was heading out of state for work, after putting just about 150 miles on the truck I got a warning light on the dash indicating there could be a serious problem with the motor. I called Baum Chevrolet and spoke to the service department and they advised me it would be OK to drive to a nearby repair shop. It was just one of those things, mechanical devices sometimes fail at the fault of no one. I was able to make it to the closest Chevy dealer where they were able to diagnose the problem and immediately started work on my vehicle. The repair wound up being over $700 I was just thankful Chevy in Mex. Mo. started working on it so quickly and did such good work. I was setting in the motel that night and Baum Chevrolet called asking if I had found out what the issue was. I told them the particulars and the estimated cost for repair, they apologized for my trouble and told me to send them the bill !!! Thank God there are still a few good businesses out there that are managed, owned and staffed by great people. I do believe in prayer and I believe the Lord blessed me with being able to deal with two great Chevy Dealers the funny thing too is I’ve always been a Ford man.
