The village metra parking is for 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, and 12 hours, as well as only after 830. Then there are several decal-only parking areas and lots, but the driver must stay within their decal (lot a, b, c, etc). Without a decal, I drive around for 10 minutes looking for parking for the day, and eventually park where I end up paying a ticket. There are over 50 spots open for parking on any day, but the decal owners don't use them and the waiting period for a decal can be 6 months to a year. I've asked the village to revise their parking policy, but they've paid several consulting companies to create this ridiculous design, and the village will stick with it.
