This place defies categorization. They do indeed sell liquor and beer but the selection is at about the level of the corner convenience store - nothing fancy. On the other hand, they do sell records, tapes and CDs. But it is probably can't rightfully be called a record store, as all the releases are on the same record label.nnBel Aire Records was started by Eddie Blazonczyk in the mid 60s and the base of operations was at 1740 W. 47th Street. Sometime in the 80s, things moved here, to Bridgeview. Eddie died a while back but his son Tony continues to carry the torch and you can score much of the Bel Aire discography here for $2 for sealed vinyl, and loads of CDs also available.
