This facility is not one that you should trust with someone you love. Their lack of empathy and compassion for people is truly evident in the lack of care they provide. Your loved one will press their call button and undoubtedly wait anywhere from 20-60 mins for a response while the staff is standing around laughing in a hallway nearby. The staff is only attentive when their is pressure applied by the families. They have no sense of urgency in addressing a patients discomfort or distress in any aspect. They have poor communication skills and choose when they will help you or your loved one in facilitating the communication.nPlease do not trust this facility with anyone you care for. They have no human compassion. They lack the desire to support families and patients in their journey to improve their health. Your loved one is a dollar amount to them. Not a person and they show it in how they deal with patients. The administration is the worst part of the hospital. This facility is truly the shadow of the leadership in place or the lack thereof. Please find another facility if you care for someone and want them to be comfortable and treated with dignity and respect.

My wife was hit by a car in January and she was at christ hospital for 3 weeks rml decided to transfer her to their facility to recover from her wounds which were severed spine a broken arm and a broken leg which were all fixed in surgery after 5 surgeries at christ hospital rml still wanted her to come to their hospital to recover. But after 2 weeks her wounds opened up on her ankle and her back and she had a cervical collar which caused a wound in the back of her head to get irritated and she was paralyzed from the bra line down and she is not able to talk because of the fact that she had a tracheastomy because she was on a ventilator for 2 weeks and and she couldn't talk. She was then transferred to christ because of the open wounds which were in felted with a staph infection near her anklenAnd her spinal cord had to be redone along with her ankle that that an infection.nI would not recommend this place to anyone else that has a loved one in the hospital.nnNow since rml is a partnership between 3 hospitals rush and loyola and I can't remember the other name they treat their patients likenStatistic people or patients like some hospitals I know and the other complaint I had was that there was only one visitor at a time I mean I know it's the pandemic but what is going to happen when the pandemic is over go back to the normal ways

The management clearly doesn't care about the patients or staff. To have employees who are exposed to covid by another employee and still required to work with patients and exposing the as well is ridiculously sad and I hope the entire management team is fired. I have first hand information on this so I know it to b true. If anyone went to rml during Jan 11-15 2021, please get checked!

I am truly distraught by the so called “care” that RML is providing. I had a hard time speaking to someone, getting a hold of the doctor, and anything and everything. My grandfather was here for a month and was very ill. I had to call many times a day to see if his doctor got around to see him or that if his cultures came back. Finally, once visiting was available I ended up seeing more of what was going on at the hospital. After having to tell the doctors how to do their job practically and having to constantly tell them his issues I finally decided to take matters into my own hands. I came to visit one day and as I was far down the hall I can hear my grandfather screaming. Without any exaggeration I rushed over to see him crying from being in so much pain where I then immediately called for his nurse to administer him morphine and call the doctor to do an MRI of his abdomen where his pain was present. After calling out for the nurse, he received tramadol which was ineffective for his pain and then after repeatedly calling the nurse and making a scene the doctor ordered morphine which stopped his pain. I then had to call many times to make sure that he was able to rest at night since he was in a great deal of pain. The doctor finally reached out to me after calling the facility an absurd amount of times where I then mentioned that he’s in severe pain and that his urine was cloudy which indicated a sign of infection which chronically occurs with him. The doctor told me that I was to be patient and that the next day they will do an MRI because it was Sunday and that they weren’t able to do so. I then had a huge fit and called the hospital notifying them that I will call an ambulance and have him discharged to Christ hospital immediately since he’s in severe pain and nothing is being done. Upon my arrival with family members, the supervisor had called Hinsdale police since she felt that I was some sort of threat. I ended up speaking to his doctors who were refusing to discharge him claiming that I will be arrested if I continue to want to discharge him. I then notified him that what he is claiming is completely incorrect and rather yet that what he was doing was illegal. I demanded he be transferred and that I am not asking anymore. He was then discharged to Christ where his gallbladder was obstructed and inflamed to such a great degree where he was receiving such high doses of morphine and yet he still was screaming while his consciousness faded in and out. He was septic and about to die where he became hypotension and tachycardic Requiring hypertensives. Mind you, this was the last occurance that occurred and there is truly many more I can discuss. Please, by all means, do not send anyone to this facility. I’ve never been so disrespected and I’ve never seen such a facility to literally disregard screaming patients. After all this, a report was filed to the state of Illinois where I gladly explained the situation and after coming to my home where I care for him, they immediately disregarded the complaint as there was no reason to. I frankly would pursue suing this facility and I can guarantee that they would be at such a great deal of fault but I am more worried about my very ill grandfather who I’m caring for 24/7.

This place is AWFUL. They lie to your family members about what they do. They don’t do physical therapy, the nurses are rude, they have terrible coordination of getting patients home. If you care about your family members at all, do not send them here.
