Life has a funny way of running you in small circles. Got a great experience from professors and got my CNA in ‘15. Was too discouraged to apply for the nursing program then Here I am in 2020 getting ready to start their nursing program. Learned a lot from this school and Nurse Fox when she used to be head of the nursing dpt. She has no idea of how one accidental sentence of hers changed my life for the better. She landed me my first CNA position in which I became administrative assistant w/Have a Heart Homemakers for 3 years. Idk where’d I’d be without them.

Typical community college. Classes online for fall. Campus open and services available. Book store has limited hours.

The staff are rude and disrespectful. The facility grounds are always covered in litter and trash. The quality of teaching has significantly declined since 2008. Focus is on increasing tuition and student enrollment while decreasing teaching resources. Teachers are inexperienced and uninterested in anything other than reading the teacher manual and answer key. More online classes being pushed to increase profits. Don't go here. Not even for a non credit adult education class. Not worth it at all anymore.

I went here for one semester and wished I could have gone my entire college career (my parents wanted me to come back to Springfield to finish my two year degree though). I grew up in Chicago Heights and always said I would never go here, but couldn’t have been happier there. The entire staff was kind and capable. I had very good and helpful professors. Compared to my other college experiences, I felt like these were the professors that were actually routing for me. I signed up late for classes, but the advisor still gave me great options for classes and got me and no problem! All the students were so nice and it was a very accessible school. I love how all my classes were in one building. As an art student, I felt like I had very good programs and I learned a lot. The work loads were never too much to handle and I was able to take a full course load.

Very difficult to get any information out of the offices and very difficult to get into contact with them. The business office mixed up my payments and refused to fix them and made me pay twice.
