Trelease Hall (FAR)

My son has spent four years living in this building. He has the opportunity to go to a different building, but he seems to enjoy this one!

Pros:n-Clean drywall instead of tiled walls.n-Adequate air conditioningn-If you get lucky, there is a thermostat in some rooms so you can literally turn off the heat in the winter.n-Although you can't control the intensity of the AC or Heat, the heating is NOT radiator based, so you can put books on the vents as a method of climate control.n-Has one of the better dining halls on campusn-Right across the street from PAR, which hosts after hour meals, which is a favourite amongst many students living in dorms.n-Has a bus terminal right across the street.nnConsn-Mediocre soundproofing. This depends on what type of neighbours you get. If they aren't a rowdy type, then you're good to go.n-Due to its namesake, it is quite far away from where most classes are held. Fortunately, there is a bus terminal for three routes across the street that goes to ample amount of locations, but missing the bus may set you back a few minutes, so I would not recommend heading out less than 5 minutes until your next class starts.n-The FAR dining hall is very limited in hours. It does not open on Saturdays and doesn't have dinner on Fridays nor does it have lunch on Sundays. It doesn't have breakfast either (as of 2015-16, unless it changed.)n-This may apply to this and other dorms but I STRONGLY encourage bringing a humidifier. During the winter months the rooms can get incredibly dry, and you will get shocked many times.nnOverall 4/5

The community is really helpful and it's a friendly place to live with
