Champaign Central High School

As an employee I can see the day to day of the school and it is an efficiently room school that prepared students to be successful in a diverse and competitive world. With hard working administrators, knowledgeable and compassionate teachers, and very caring support staff, this is an exceptional school for any student to attend.

A good school if you want your kid exposed to the many different diversities in the world, a bad choice if your child hates disgusting bathrooms and less than average lunches, good news is that you can leave school for lunch once you're a junior or senior. Old in architecture but excellent in pride and tradition.

I just want to graduate and get away from drama... ✌

Well, I will say this: I didn't have a terrible high school experience here.

PROS : - Good education, has honors and AP classesn- Has a majority of good and supportive teaching staff and administrationn- Good sports program and a variety of social, honors club and appreciation awards forndeserving kids (seems to have a lot of smart kids too)n- local police enforcing safety at all timesnCONS: - Really old building - our kids deserve a safe environment to breath - smells moldy innsome classrooms and the space to grow to keep up with technology and advances -neducation and sport wise (kids have to be driven to Centennial's facilities)n- Very limited safe parking space for new student driversn- 2015 - still without central air conditioning - school closings for extreme summer tempsn- Considering we have the massive and advanced University of Illinois - Central High is thenunderdog . Even smaller towns and elementary education have better and newernfacilities especially the restrooms.n- Better lunch caterers, even the pizza is not good according to the kidsnThus the 4 Stars. Overall , it's a good school.
