Athletico Physical Therapy - Urbana

I went through two stints with Athletico in Urbana. Marcus was not only a knowledgeable Therapist, but also motivational and easy to speak with.nFrom the person that greets you at the door to the Therapists to the support staff, it is a very welcoming and friendly place to go for therapy.nThe facility is always clean and it has a great amount of room and equipment to handle all sorts of treatment.

I was a patient at the Athletico Urbana location for a several months, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience! Marcus and his staff are extremely kind and professional. They always ensure that all patients feel safe and comfortable, and they always do their best to accommodate to the needs of their patients. With the help of Athletico and Marcus, I’ve been able to make a full recovery from a neck/back injury. Marcus has also helped me with an ankle that I’ve repeatedly injured for years, and taught me how to do several exercises to continue doing at home. I started treatment on my extremely weak and injury-prone ankle, and I left Athletico with my ankle feeling stronger than it has in almost a decade! I frequently came in with many questions as well, and Marcus was always prepared to answer them, no matter what I asked! I honestly couldn’t be more thankful for his help.nnA huge plus—this location also goes above and beyond to follow COVID safety protocol. There are no more than a couple of patients in this large space at one time (always at least 6 feet apart), and they thoroughly disinfect every single piece of equipment between patients. I highly recommend checking out this location. You will not be disappointed!

Worked with Markus for a few months and had an absolutely amazing time because (1) my main issue, which had lasted years, improved SO much in just a couple months (2) Markus was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way. The entirety of the Athletico team was enthusiastic and supportive through every visit.nnPlease make sure to stop at Athletico in Urbana if you are in the area or passing by and need help from a PT.

My first experience with physical therapy was at this location, and it definitely left a positive impression! The staff was always very welcoming and accommodating even with my busy schedule. The facility was clean and staff members always wiped down equipment in between patients' sessions. I am so thankful to have worked with Marcus during my time at Athletico because of how friendly and knowledgable he is! With his help, I was able to fully recover from my injury. Now I know some easy stretches I can do at home too if it were to bother me in the future. My positive experience here actually led me to encourage my mom to consider going to PT. Anyways, I highly recommend this location, especially working with Marcus!

After hip replacement surgery I chose the Urbana Athletico location for physical therapy. Fantastic staff! They are professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. My therapist Marcus chose various exercises to strengthen my hip muscles and was very careful to choose exercises that would strengthen without over extending my current ability. As I progressed the exercises changed to further strengthen my muscles. On graduation day they gave me new exercises to to at home. At each session they would ask questions about concerns I had and would adapt the exercises to address those concerns yet stay within my doctor's guidelines. I kind of hated to see my therapy sessions end as we had a great time together. We had a bit of an insurance snafu, Bre and Marcus immediately corresponded with my insurance company and worked out the issue. About a month after my therapy ended Marcus sent a follow up email to see how I was doing, that kind of follow up is impressive. I absolutely recommend Urbana Athletico Physical Therapy in Urbana.
