Cinema Gallery

Cinema Gallery is the finest art gallery in central Illinois that I have been to, with a great collection of works. The curator is a wonderful lady who is not only very knowledgeable about the collection she has, but also about art in general. She takes great care of her customers regardless of their pocket size, and would very patiently walk you through her gallery, answering every question. The fact that she personally knows all the artists represented in her gallery, you not only learn about the art but also the artist and how that work of art came about. It's simply a great experience at Cinema Gallery!

The Cinema Art Gallery is a staple in Downtown Urbana. In addition to walking through periodically and inhaling the beauty, I've bought numerous things from the gallery that I love! My house and office are adorned with gorgeous painting and I have numerous hand made coffee mugs that I enjoy every morning. Carolyn is a wonderful art curator and lovely to work with. The gallery shows important works by local and regional artists who have established themselves as world renowned artists.nThe Cinema Gallery’s monthly exhibitions are diverse in approach and material specificity. There’s something for everyone. If you have not visited the gallery, you should definitely stop by.

I've been going to the Cinema Gallery in downtown Urbana since it opened. I have bought a few pieces over the years and have both taken and sent friends there. The owner is good about showcasing and promoting local artists. The building is a local landmark and worth seeing, too. I give it a two thumbs up!

I absolutely love the commitment to local artists in the gallery. I find the most interesting and unique pieces here and over time continue to love the things I have purchased. The manager/owner is a remarkable with wonderful insight into the artists and history of every piece. It's work a special trip to Urbana.
