I did not like it, and the food was nasty also they take 2hrs to fix your food.

Family store bad neighborhood

Hero Market is no hero in this community. They sell alcohol, high calorie foods, high sodium foods, high carbohydrate foods, cigarettes to minors, in general plenty of junk foods. Alcohol and drug abuse and drug selling are a common problem there. No healthy foods like fresh fruit and fresh vegetables are sold there. Lots of children cross Bunkum Road to buy their junk food from the Roosevelt Homes. Bunkum Road is a very busy street. Lots of cars constantly pull in and out of this store causing traffic problems. Many times trash dumpster runs over onto street. Lots of dangerous looking men hang out on the front of this biz. The cars that park on it's parking lot play loud music day and night. I blame the city of Washington Park ill government for allowing this type of biz to open up right across the street from a housing project. There has been multiple shootings there. The last thing Washington Park Illinois needs is another liquor store. Washington Park Illinois population is less than 5,000. For a small community it has 7 liquor stores and mutiple strip joints and no local police​ department.ud83dude1f. SHAME​ SHAME Shame! You got to tour Washington Park Illinois. It looks like an atomic bomb hit it in many places. There are so many abandoned buildings with trash piled up, windows missing, doors hanging, grass 6' high, bricks and wood missing. If anybody wants to be scared to death, drive down 46th street, 47th street for example. The Washington Park Illinois roads are in deplorable condition. Pot holes are everywhere. Go over to where the old National Food Store is. Now it is a liquor store. The area looks like a 3rd world country. Men and women hang around it all day. Check out across the street from it.
