So, I visited the library on today’s date to make some copies. Now, I will say that my library card has been expired since 2014 and I don’t reside in East Saint Louis anymore. I went there and signed in at the door. Went to the desk, the woman who was sitting behind the desk was extremely rude. Older, heavy set lady. Attitude like no other. She told me since my card was expired, I’d have to log in as a guest... and could only use the computer for twenty minutes. That was fine, but there wasn’t a need to be rude and have an attitude. East Saint Louis doesn’t have the best reputation, and it doesn’t make it any better when you have people who are workers in the city be rude. You never know who you can be interacting with, but it’s a place of business and you should be pleasant to whomever comes in to use whatever services provided.
Google says 7:45 it close. We get here at 6:30ish. They're closed and it's the only library we have to get a library card from to explore nearby library locations, plus they never have library cards to distribute! ... Now the lights are off. Someone needs to update the hours open on Google
