My husband, and I are are military veterans and we’re new to the area. I read from the reviews on google that Dr.Sanford is an excellent eye doctor. I called the office to ask if they were accepting new patients, and also if the office accepts Tricare insurance. My husband had cataract surgery, and lens placement which turned out excellent, but after a few months required a new film growth removed. His vision was cloudy, and he is having difficulty seeing. The first time I called, the clerk said the lady who does insurance would not be back until Friday, and to call then. I told her my husband was having difficulty seeing, and she just simply told me to call back. We called back Friday, and the lady who does insurance refused to schedule him, saying they only took Triwest, even after payment with Tricare Prime was made the first time with his procedure. They were rude, short with us, and refused to educate themselves as to the differences in insurances.nTriwest is not the only insurance company, nor is it the only type of Tricare. They made us feel as though we did not matter. We ended up going to southeast eye associates, and not only did they schedule us right away, but the insurance lady was very well versed in insurance, gave us the claim papers for refraction reimbursement, AND set up our referral the same day to fix my husbands eye.

Bad doctor. Did my eye surgery and messed it up and refuses to be a man I have before and after pics. Talking to my lawyers over this
