We stayed here to enjoy the wine trail and food pairings (11 wineries in the area). Cabin had a large master bedroom with full bath, two bedrooms upstairs with another full bath, and a half bath downstairs.nnThe main issue was the cleanliness - there were hundreds of dead Asain beetles with no broom to dispose of them. Also were a ton of them still flying around.

Very relaxing, quiet, remote. Close to Giant City State Park. Beautiful!

Amazing cabin. Spent a short weekend at the cabin. Had an excellent experience. As we drove up to the property we caught our first glimpse of the resident deer. Place was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Provided Pack & Play made staying there with our 8-month old a breeze. Spent Saturday at Giant City State Park and wine tasting. The cabin's location made these excursions extremely easy. To avoid rambling, our favorite aspects were: 1. Cabin is gorgeous, well-appointed, and on a beautiful piece of property. 2. Location and proximity to nature, wineries, and town was incredible considering it feels as if you are miles from anyone. 3. The light coming through the many windows provided a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. Only wish we had a day or two more. Thank you very much.

Ashton Ridge was beyond our expectations. The photos do not do it justice. The cabin, the views, the amenities were all 5 star. The perfect getaway for our family retreat. Apparently there was a problem with the internet that was addressed before we were aware of it. Tim’s instructions were clear and helpful. We hope we will be able to make Ashton Ridge a family tradition.

Our family stayed here to visit my son at SIU. The home is spacious, with a well stocked kitchen , and plenty of bath towels. The showers have great shower heads. Beautiful setting overlooking a pond, hills and forests. Enjoyed morning coffee on the porches. Do remember to bring napkins/paper towels/bath supplies. The long lane off Makanda Road has few potholes...just watch for them. The host responded quickly and thoroughly to my inquiries. We’ll hopefully be able to go back again!nIt was beautiful in summer. It will be wonderful in fall.
