Cairo Mississippi River Bridge

Have cross this bridge at 30 to 40 times, never gets easier, as professional drivers u actually cross the bridge with your tires against the curb when passing another semi, and it’s still very interesting. If you’re able to take your eyes off the road for a second it’s a beautiful view.

This bridge should either be permanently closed or signaled at each end to permit traffic one-way at a time. Today while driving a small motorhome, I met a semi that was far into my lane. It was the scariest moment on a roadway in my 68 years. It’s unfathomable and unconscionable that this situation is permitted. If it’s to remain two lane, semis should be prohibited.

I'll never get back the years of my life I've burnt on stress-praying to a god I don't even believe in as I go over this bridge. Lost a mirror on a U-haul to it when moving to the area. Won't be making that mistake when moving out of the area. Don’t cross this in an RV, way too narrow. Lost a mirror to a truck coming the other way. Definitely got my attention.
