Fareway Grocery

Great selection and service. Staff was super friendly and prices were reasonable as well. Great produce selection. Full service checkout and help out with your groceries. In the days of big chains and 'super' big box stores, I'm genuinely impressed!!

We absolutely love shopping at Fareway! The staff is extremely kind and patient especially when you're shopping with small children. We would typically go once or twice a week as a family and within a few months most of the staff knew our kids and would ask about a time when we would go without them. We love the small-town feel the moment you walk in the door as well as the continued expansion of products.

I once had someone call me for a job interview at the store and then I drove from Cresco to it only to be told by one of the managers that they had hired someone else when I got there. That was also the last day I would ever shop at a fareway store.

Whether they have excellent substitutions for things I was wanting, or things I wasn't in there for but surprised me and I just had to buy (shelf full of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout for example), this Fareway is awesome!

I had shopped in there for years, and then one day I asked about the plastic shopping bags. The one guy rudely yelled at me that I was supposed to read the sign hanging from the ceiling about saving the earth. I went a few rounds with those rude people and I never went back. I found out how much cheaper other places were than them. The new Hy vee store is awesome. The evidently don't need my business so I will go to Hy vee and other places where people are a lot more friendly BYE!!!!!!
