Decorah Public Library

We used to go there a lot and I'm used to like varieties of books and magazines but one day we came and they told us they don't have book for us anymore on international section they get rid of them because nobody needs them I've been surprised by that.

Always Peaceful when I stopped in to check out or return books. ud83dudcda The staff are so kind and thoughtful! I was reading a trilogy and instead of rechecking out a book they had a set going into a donation pile so they gave me the trilogy to have. So fortunate to have a library of this caliber in Decorah. The staff works to create engaging and diverse programs for a variety of audiences. Recent renovations have made the space even more inviting. I am happy to have such a quality resource in our community.

Great atmosphere. Extensive, updated movie selection. Friendly people. They are also updating the decor and layout, and it looks nice. A nice place to relax on a hot (or cold) day.

I had 4 things to do, and found I could do them all here at the DPL. I dropped two letters in the mailbox out front, returned a book, sent a fax (it's hard to find a fax machine in 2019) then got on WiFi using my Smartphone to enter this rating.nAnyway, library is clean, spacious and well stocked. Comfortable, too.
