Probably the worst experience of my life. It’s taken a solid 6 years to undo the trauma I endured there. Not only was I assaulted by a fellow student who, because of their actions, is now a felon, the college deemed it okay to allow them to continue to study on-site while I remained a resident in the dorms. I literally had a restraining order on this person and, to me, it seemed the college chose profit over protection on my behalf.nnWhile studying Radiologic Technology, after having played for their collegiate soccer team, I was asked to take a hiatus for a year and return to my program-specific studies because a drug test came back positive for among other things (read MARIJUANA) my prescription medication. No follow-up drug test was performed and following the only meeting I had with my teachers and department head, the Policy and Procedures Manual was revised the next day. Furthermore my fellow students were emailed a new drug policy amendment and asked to sign and fax back to the college literally the next day. A student athlete testing positive for “drugs” with no follow-up?nnDuring my appeal I spoke out about the rampant cheating that was going on throughout the Radiologic Technology program. My appeal was immediately arrested until I could prove my “allegations” about cheating. Once I provided more than adequate proof of cheating within the program, those individuals involved were allowed to not only continue in the program, but given special treatment and allowed to retake a Physics course so they could graduate without having to take a hiatus. I can only imagine it was in an attempt to keep their graduation success rate.nnWhile taking proctored exams at the college’s secure testing facility I was flunked from said Physics course because I failed to adequately show my surroundings with my webcam. Those surroundings were, I kid you not, being watched not only by several security cameras, but also by the proctor who checked to make sure I only had the administered #2 pencil and paper they provided.nnEmotionally and physically bruised, beaten, and battered I was permanently removed from the program because I violated their, guess what, Policy and Procedures which stated if an individual fails a course twice they are no longer permitted in the program.nnI have also been banned from the program-specific Facebook page for speaking out and trying to give voice to the trauma I endured, I a recipient of their Skeleton Crew Scholarship. Let it be known that I provided numerous letters of recommendations from clinic heads, former students now practicing technologists, and professors from the college asserting how great an asset I would be to the healthcare profession as a whole to no avail. Lastly, none of the program-specific courses I took at the college transfer, so in order to become a Radiologic Technologist I would have to start a program over again at a different college costing me tens of thousands of dollars in tuition.
Excellent professors and a very helpful staff.Great place to learn.
Great place to learn ud83dudc4d Highly recommend the Anatomy courses
Was a nice places ever!ud83dude02 I never seen it
The professors are awesome but Indian Hills is too overpriced! The dorms are super expensive and not worth it. I had to share a bathroom with half of the floor and it was always gross. The hallways echo so you can hear everyone coming and going all night long. Laundry is also a joke. There was 2 washers and 2 dryers for our whole floor and they were ALWAYS broken. I had to take my laundry 50 miles home to do it.
