Wapello County Jail

Officer was very polite during vehicle inspection. Did a Great job!

Clean place. Most all the sheriff employees are very respectful and even helpful. Even has several respectable, fair, and honest city police officers. This jail also has kiosk machines in it to give inmates $ fast and simple with cash or card. Which is handy. Only giving 3 stars because the building is confusing to someone who is unfamiliar with it. Also took a star because they only offer families a half hour in a week to see incarcerated loved ones, which is AWFUL if more than one person wants time with one certain inmate. They would have to split the 30 minutes between each separate party who wants to visit. Another notable crappy thing is how slow the police force seems to be about calling a person back to take a crime report (theft, vandalism, break-in, etc) from someone who calls to report it. Most people i know and I don't usually feel like police take most of the calls in ( as in to make a report or speak to an officer over the phone) seriously at all.

BEST MANAGEMENT EVER. The floor was super clean you could eat off of it ( You'd probably have too anyway) The Food was On Point and the plate they served it on was the most expensive and cleanest plate ive ever seen. My cellmate BoBo was the most nicest person ever he would push me down, say very thoughtful words and spit on me. This was a very great experience and i would come back again. Never been but heard the food is not that good. Also way more expensive than renting a hotel room
