Prior to my visit with Dr. Agarwal I was diagnosed with chronic coughing and chronic sinusitis. I suffered for a year and a half with these symptoms. I did discuss the issues with my regular doctor but still no relief after trying a multiple variety of meds. At my last check up I ask him what the diagnosis was. He replied, allergies. I also took a pulmonary function test and chest X-rays to rule out COPD and other issues. Nothing made a difference. The cough was constant and was affecting my day to day activities to the point I had given up on trying to enjoy anything. I had to carry water, Kleenex, hard candies , etc in order to tame the cough. It was exasperating to say the least. I looked in the phone book and found Dr. Agarwal’s name. I made the appointment. My first appointment with him included another pulmonary function test and a test for allergies . Dr. Agarwal was very thorough while reading my information pages. He noted one of my meds, Lisinopril, and questioned me about it. I had been taking it since 2012. The allergy test showed I was allergic to dust mites and he gave me a pamphlet and also visited with me about it. He questioned me more about the cough. He advised me to change my script from Lisinopril to a different script for high blood pressure. He went on to explain one of the side affects of Lisinopril was coughing. I must say I was very doubtful and really disappointed with this recommendation. He went on to say it usually takes about a month to see results. I am happy to report that I had my one month visit with Dr Agarwal this week. My cough is almost nonexistent.....all because of the medication change. I am feeling much better about life and my out look is much better. We reviewed the otc meds I was taking per his recommendation and adjusted those. My reason for this review is I am hopeful I will help someone else that is going through this dreadful experience. I highly recommend Dr. Agarwal for his service of those struggling with Allergy, Asthma, and Sinus issues. He’s professional, personable and he genuinely cares for his patients.
