I had to be transported to the hospital by paramedics on April 14, I was taken to UAB. The ER was packed but all the paramedics stayed with the patient they had taken there except mine. After about an hour they transferred me to a hospital stretcher in the hallway and left me as if dumping a dog on the side of the road. I laid there for another five hours with everyone coming in being placed in a room except me. I finally stopped a nurse and explained the situation, she retrieved a doctor who promptly placed me in a room. That entire time I was short of breathe because my pacemaker had stopped working. I wonder if those two paramedics would like it if there grandmother was dumped like a dog.
