Davenport Dental and Wellness Center: Celia Davenport, DMD

I can't say enough good things about Davenport Dental. I was referred by a friend after I received sub-optimal care from another dentist for an infected tooth while pregnant around five years ago, and since then I have been so impressed by everyone working there. I never feel judged even though I am very cavity prone, the staff is very friendly, Dr. Davenport is great at squeezing me in for emergencies (I chipped a tooth at night and she got me in first thing the next morning), and they even have a therapy dog and skin spa treatments available. Everyone I know who goes to Dr. Davenport has had a similarly great experience.

I've been seeing Dr. Davenport for nearly five years and she's a very kind and skilled dentist. The office is clean, the hygienists are pleasant, and the location is prime. Parking, however, can be a little tight. Unfortunately, the relationship had to be terminated due a billing dispute for $165. Long story short, last year my employer auto-enrolled me in an HMO, and I didn’t know I had to opt in to a PPO. Because of this honest mistake on my end, I ended up being compelled to pay the full amount despite explaining to them the unfortunate circumstances around the issuance of the bill. I have since selected PPO during this year’s annual enrollment-mostly so I could continue to see Dr. Davenport. Unfortunately, receptionist/office manager was somewhat rude (not ugly) as she explained the situation on their end. I asked if we could meet in the middle ($82.50) to preserve the relationship (something their web presence says they value), but she was unable to come to an equitable resolution for me. They may have received their cash payment for $165, but will lose out on thousands of dollars worth of future claims payments from my insurer because they were unable/unwilling to compromise with a long-standing, reliable patient. With all that said, I will miss Dr. Davenport and I wish her well. I hope her office management team learns to see the bigger picture when it comes to preserving patient relationships, especially when the amount in question is so paltry in the long run.

Best experience I've had from a dentist!! I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple years and was super nervous. They were completely non-judgmental and kind as well as fantastic at their jobs. Very accommodating. Great office.

I was first introduced to Dr. Davenport at my old dentist office and I really liked her right off the bat, then when I found out that my favorite assistant Melanie was leaving to go to work for her so of course I followed Melanie to Davenport Dental and I’m so glad I did. If you’re looking for a great dentist, I highly recommend you try Davenport Dental. The office is beautiful, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and they always go out of their way to make sure that you feel comfortable. I really cannot say enough great things about them. If you do decide to give them a try, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
