This church has a family friendly atmosphere where the worship experience is always spiritual. This is a historical church that has been very active in the Civil Rights Movement. Our church family is always actively engaging our youth and young adults with a variety of Faith building activities such as; Vacation Bible School, trips to the museum in Montgomery or Birmingham, Six Flag trip, Movie Night, Praise Dancing, Children's Church, Easter & Christmas Programs, Youth Awards and Recognition Day, Praise and Worship Choirs, Missionary Society Circles, Deacon Wives, Fishers of Men and the Brotherhood Ministry...just to name a few. The 17th Street Missionary Baptist Church is celebrating 139 years of Proclaiming God's Holy Word and Awesome Greatness, the fourth Sunday in August. We are also having Revival on 22nd and 23rd of August 7pm nightly. Come join us as we lift up the Name of Jesus, For He is Always Worthy to be Praised!!!
