Anniston Museum of Natural History

I carried my kids when they were little, and have enjoyed carrying my grandchildren.nIn September, we surprised my son, on his 40th birthday with a party at the museum park and a family trip to the museum. Three grown children with spouses, and 10 grandchildren from 23 to 2. We had a blast reminiscing and exploring.

I've been going ever since I was a young child and still at 18 I enjoy it very much and I learn something new every time I go. Great place to take children of all ages to learn and make memories.

Small place that hides a big museum

I love coming to this museum. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve been it is still so enjoyable. My favorite exhibits are the Egyptian mummies and the environment of Africa (I think that’s the name). I love looking at the different animals in the exhibit and seeing how big some of them are compared to us. It is definitely worth the money and time to come explore this awesome museum.

I must say that this is one of Alabama's best kept secret. I was reluctant to go when my husband suggested it. It was nothing like I had imagined. I was thoroughly impressed and I loved everything about it. It is totally worth a visit.
