Cougar Dental

I am so grateful for Courgar Dental for their sincerity and professionalism. As someone with severe dental anxiety, they were respectful and caring. They treated me with kindness while ensuring I was comfortable during my different procedures. The office is clean and well designed. I do not trust dentists lightly and Dr. Groesbeck proved again and again that he is trustworthy. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I am not usually one to write negative reviews for businesses, I actually never have, but this place is appalling. I went there a few years ago, and I feel like I need to warn others. They WILL take advantage of you if you are a college student! The whole time, they were trying to convince me to get my wisdom teeth taken out the very next day. I had never even discussed that with my parents, and I was still 17 at the time and was unprepared to make that kind of decision. I am glad that I did not give in. They told me that I had 5 CAVITIES that needed to be filled and possibly a root canal. I had never had that many cavities in my life, so I went back home the next week to my dentist that I trust. He told me that I DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE CAVITY. These guys will lie to you to make money and put you through unnecessary procedures. AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE. Do not go here!!!

*Cleanliness - The clinic is clean and appears to be well maintained. *Customer service - The staff I met today--Allie, Rachel, Ethan, Julye, and Dr. Groesbeck (I hope I spelled their names right)--were friendly and welcoming. Each staff member took time to briefly explain what's going on. I appreciated that the staff didn't force or obligate me to pursue any proposed services. They provided me the information and the recommendation and allowed me to make an informed decision. Thank you so much!

Outstanding care and great accessibility. Dr Groesbeck is very skilled and has great bedside care. Anna is a superb hygienist. Update: best office ever! There is no one close. Dr. Groesbeck is absolutely phenomenal and the talented staff at Cougar Dental doesn’t compare to anywhere I’ve been. Go for no cavities and get a reward to CupBop!!!

I don't usually write bad reviews for companies because I usually try to give places the benefit of the doubt. But this place was exceptionally bad for the following reasons: 1. The first time I went in was for x-rays and a cleaning. While they were cleaning my teeth they said that I may have gingivitis. I thought that was weird because my dental hygiene is pretty good. They asked if I wanted to do the gingivitis cleaning which was a lot more expensive than the regular cleaning (by about $200 more if I remember correctly). I refused over and over to do the gingivitis cleaning, because I am a poor college student. The person cleaning my teeth went out for a few minutes, then came back and let me know that I don't actually even have gingivitis. 2. I went to back (my mistake) to go get a few cavities filled. They said that sensitivity or pain would last about 1 - 2 weeks after the filling. Here we are 5 weeks later and I still can't let any food touch those teeth without any pain or sensitivity. The teeth also were filled very badly. There is a new sharp edge on my molar that has cut my tongue before, the filling feels very grainy, and my teeth don't align with each other like they used to. Very bad job; very awkward mouth. 3. The plan on that day was to fill only one cavity. While I was getting one of the cavities filled, the dentist let me know that there were two more cavities underneath the one that was being filled. He asked if I wanted to just fill those while I was there, just to get it over with. I told him that that should be fine. They didn't inform me that it would cost me a couple hundred more dollars to do this. I understand that I should have probably looked over what my insurance did and did not cover yet, but still there should be at least a little bit of responsibility for the dentist to let me know that it'll cost me so much money. In conclusion, Cougar Dental is expensive, sloppy, and dishonest. They take advantage of a good location and a clientele that doesn't know much about visits to the dentist. Don't go to Cougar Dental.
