A great regional organization support rural communities in the Texas Midwest Region. Peers from chambers, cities and economic development organizations gather to share ideas, challenges and successes all focused on increasing the economic sustainability of the region.
Last year was a transitional time for the TMCN and it was also my first experience in attending their Conference in Abilene. As a member of the press and as a Citizen of a small community, I found vital and interesting material that was offered there in the form of presentations. The two that I attended gave an inspiring and workable plan to conquer some of the issues that face us all in our Hometowns. It was gratifying to see that there was a way to address those needs in an active and positive manner. I would like to encourage all of the surrounding communities and their civic leaders to attend this next Conference on October 29th, 2014.
