The doctors do not listen to their patients at all. I went and saw an older lady here who WOULD NOT believe me when I said that I still couldn’t see after her vision tests. I am legally blind and she just gave up, giving me the completely wrong prescription AND made me pay to fix the problem later (with a man this time - whom still did not listen). They dilated my eyes for no reason and no warning, and then didn’t even look at the pupils and made me go home, thus causing a headache that was unnecessary. To this day, I still have FAR too weak contacts, because no one would listen to me and tried to gaslight me into believing otherwise.

I was on a vacation in Slade and suffered a vitreous hemorrhage but didn't know it until I visited the Mt Sterling location. I just knew i couldn't see out of my eye. The doctor of optometry on duty gave me thorough eye exam and recommended i also get a b-scan when i get home. Immediately after the doctor diagnosed me i called my home eye doctor and it was going to be difficult to get in. This location accepted my last minute scheduling and got me in to verify i was ok with a b-scan. Good place to go.

Waited forever to be seen. Finally got taken back by an assistant who never actually said hello and worked on someone else's chart half the time she was with me, all the while ignoring my presence. I looked away for a second and when I looked back, she was creepily taking my picture on an iPad with zero warning. Don't get me wrong, I understand the need for a doc to have pictures of their patients, but warn your patient first!nnAfter she was done, I waited forever AGAIN to see the doc for literally 1.5 minutes and he never made eye contact with me the whole time except through the slit lamp exam.nnAfterward, they didn't reverse the dilation of my eyes, nor give me any of those cheap sunglasses for the drive home, so it was a miserable drive.nnAlso, they don't have glasses to choose from - you have to take your prescription somewhere else. What eye doc doesn't have glasses to choose from??nnWeird and frustrating place.
