We walked in and were immediately greeted, the young lady introduced herself by name. We must have been there at least 20 minutes and she helped us the entire time. Ended up buying a pair of Versace sunglasses.nGreat service!
I’d like to comment on two different experiences I’ve had at this particular Sunglass Hut. The first was just 3 months ago. I had decided to finally switch from Oakley to Ray-Ban. I have always worn Oakley since I was 16 up to this point. I spoke with a lady inside sunglass hut for about :30 minutes trying multiple pairs on, as well as comparing lenses and materials. I was very happy with my purchase, and confident it was a safe one. I had purchased a nearly $300 pair of RB8318 Chromance in black. Two weeks of regular everyday use, being kept in a pouch and case, and not on top of my head, resulted in one of the lenses falling out and the screw to secure it missing. I was angry. I had spent lots of money with a promise of durability and quality.nnThree days ago I received a coupon in the mail for and I decided I should go back to Sunglass Hut to buy a pair of Oakleys. Hopefully something wire framed. I felt skeptical though. I happen to have my Ray-Bans mentioned above, and the lenses, in my car. I took them in with me on the off chance anything could be done. At most I expected a “Sorry that’s your faultC want to buy brand new ones full price?”nnBrittany was the only one in the store when I arrived. I mentioned my broken sunglasses and she immediately said she’d take a look at them. She explained she had just got the store a new repair kit, and quickly fixed and cleaned my sunglasses. Not only that, but she also explained that unlike the Oakleys that I’ve been used to wearing, Ray-Bans require some upkeep with the screws. She showed me how to do it. Free of charge too. Then I remembered my coupon and she also helped me select a new pair of sunglasses. This pair is the Coldfuse in black. Im very happy with them. Oakley needs to do more work with metal and get away from all this plastic. Feels way to bulky.nnIf not for the coupon I would not have been back for quite a while. If not for Brittany though I would be a long term doubter of Ray-ban.nnP.S: while discussing my sunglasses during the check out process, I forgot my cleaning kit I purchased on the counter. Brittany emailed me and offered to deliver them, hold them for me, or refund my money. I was flabbergasted. This is something I would expect from a small business, not Sunglass Hut. She had it saved and ready for me to pick up the next day. When I went in, the young lady behind the counter heard my story, greeted me by name and gave me my cleaning kit. I hadn’t told her my name, she must have remembered from a discussion or email. This is a special skill and I wish I had gotten hers to put it here.nnTL/DR: long term Oakley fanboy wants Ray-bans. Doesn’t know how to take care of them. They break. Felt cheated and lied too. Gives Sunglass Hut a second chance, BRITTANY saves my image of both Sunglass Hut and Ray-Ban, and then makes me feel like Sunglass Hut operates with the customer care or a small business. I can’t even express my gratitude to Nicole. She was extremely helpful when I first came in; making suggestions and explaining the difference in glasses. There was another worker who I regretfully did not get her name. She entertained my son while I shopped and kindly endured the rapid fire questions and constant talking. After I made my purchase I ordered food and after we were done eating someone stole the glasses I just purchased. The mall was literally no help at all, but Nicole was so kind when I went in and provided me with the buy one get one half off deal despite me not purchasing both sets at the same time. My mom passed at the end of October and she loved Christmas. She always saw the best in people and I certainly saw the best in humanity today. Thank you to both of the girls working for your understanding, kindness, and making this Christmas a bit brighter for me.
