Why in the world do we need 2 fire stations in this small town???nEdit- Thanks for the response. For the people (Me) who live near the new station, I'm sure most of us would much rather it not be there. What used to be quiet, country living is now interrupted with screaming sirens.
The Scurry Fire Dept added the 2nd station because people that are south of the response area are more than 5 miles and are considered unprotected on their homeowners insurance. So by adding the 2nd station they now receive benefits on their homeowners.
