I used to be a trainer for special TEXAS homes at the work site. Tje residents would always be excited brecause every oyther weekend ythe verne cox center would hold a dance for them. They loved it. And it was a nuce for them to be tjemselvees and let rheir hair down a little.

We adore this park and could spend several delightful hours here. It's by far the nicest park within 8-10 miles. It's fully wheelchair accessible and has plenty of shady spots. The sand box doesn't even smell like cats! During the weekdays you can catch a drinking fountain or potty break inside the building. Otherwise you have to use the Porta potty, which used to be OK but is not the greatest after a few years of neglect. Bring your own hand sanitizer and wipes,as well as a water bottle.
