Get ready to be mystified. This place is full of wonder. It's like going on an adventure through the world. There are penguins from South America and South Africa, many flavors of fish to choose, sharks, stingrays and more. One of my favorite places in the aquarium was the jellyfish exhibit featuring many species. They have LED lights lights in the tanks so you can see them better and it makes it all the more beautiful. Thumbs up Moody Gardens. Also the sea lion is the best.
Wow, what a great aquarium! We were one of the lucky few who got to have Valentine’s Day dinner under the water. This was such an amazing experience. Excellent food, champagne, seated under water in the tunnels, while watching scuba divers feed the fish and sharks. EPIC! I’d say this one event is a good enough reason to come visit Galveston.
Really well done! The penguin attraction is by far the most prominent with 6 separate viewing locations of the same habitat. My favorites are the real coral & jelly fish exhibit and the ray & invertebrate petting pools. It's very interactive and has a natural flow through the attraction. There is also a sea lion habitat and many, many large fish tanks. If you're lucky you can spot a sea turtle too.
The penguins are an all time favorite! Hadn't been here in years. Moody Gardens has definitely seen better days, but it was still very fun for my little ones. Thank you guys for all your hard work in upkeeping the place and staying open in these struggling times.
This was an awesome stop while here in Galveston. There are so many different fish and sea creatures available to view. There was lots of different views to enjoy too. My family and I really enjoyed the experience and can't wait to visit again!nnThe only down side was how crowded it was and a lack of social distancing by other guests. Also there was a terrible stench of cigarette smoke directly outside the building. Everything else was a lot of fun.
