Southern Dental at Sugar Land

I had an awesome experience with this dental clinic.They just SAVED me one of my teeth.I had a tooth that got so bad because of lack of insurance,it had got infected and needed a root canal along with the two teeth beside it needing work.Faced with that and no insurance I opted to have it pulled.Went to my appointment and the dentist pleaded with me “please do not pull this tooth,”reminding me I would regret it and if I ever want to get it replaced with a implant it would cost me soooooo much more.The bill was high (as most root canals are) but they offered to work with me on a payment plan,gave me discounts where they could and were able to work the bill down to where it was manageable for me.I had half the work done today and need to come back next week to finish.I’m so glad they cared enough to remind me that my teeth are important,and I shouldn’t just pull them because I lack the funds.Besides them being very caring doctors and working with me financially,they spent a lot of time with me.Did not feel rushed,the dentist was gentle,shots just hurt that is unavoidable but she communicated with me the whole time telling me what to do to manage the pain and work through it ,she seemed to be thorough cleaning the infection and she didn’t rip my mouth open like I’ve had past dentists do by being too rough with my mouth and so I have no sores in my mouth or cracked lips.I was WELL taken care of there.The wait was alittle long,but it was worth it knowing they took time and cared.I will absolutely have all my teeth worked on with this dentist and I would 100% recommended my family and friends to go there,I’d feel comfortable taking my kids there,and that takes a lot of trust from me,I’ve had nightmare dentist experience with my kids in past so I’m glad to have found this one.Her name is not on my paperwork and did not catch it on my last visit but I will update this review once I get her name next time.The office was clean,the wait was about an hour before I got worked on,the staff is amazing,definitely give this place a try.I am VERY VERY thankful they saved me a tooth.And saved me from a lot of pain as well.

Worst dentist in Houston. Stay away. These people messed up my crown which has fallen out over 10 times and resulted in several other fillings and procedures to the surrounding teeth. I wish I never contacted these people as it has caused me terrible pain and years of dental problems. I will never use this company again and will warn anyone I can from enduring the same pain and frustration.

The staff at Southern Dental was amazing from the moment i walked through the doors. Everyone was professional with warm attitudes which is appreciated especially when entering any dental office. Michelle was very helpful and understanding when explaining my issues and comprehending my bill. She was patient and displayed empathy. Her and sue(my hygenist) were so pleasant during my visit. Sue was very caring during my cleaning procedure. She continued asking me was i ok, and i was very pleased with that. I would highly recommend Southern Dental to friends and family members. In fact, ill be returning regularly for routine check ups and procedures! Thanks guys!
