I’ll start by saying Vroom emailed me saying my car would be delivered on April 14th, I wanted the car sooner and called Vroom, but they couldn’t help (if Vroom really wants to compete with dealers they need to figure out how to deliver in under a week, 2-3 days would be best. The online car company that can do that will gain market share). My insurance company told me to wait for a day before delivery to add the car to my insurance. On Saturday April 10th I received a call from the driver saying my car is being delivered in 3 hours, luckily I was going to be home. Unfortunately, my insurance company is closed on the weekends, so I was unable to drive my car for 2 days, so I only have 5 days to make sure I like it or return it.nnThe next issue was my car was in an enclosed trailer that the driver had to climb into my window getting his dirty feet all over the door and seat, not very professional. When he drove the car out it was disgustingly dirty outside. So dirty that I couldn’t tell if the paint was okay. After he left I had to thoroughly clean the car to see the paint, gladly it was fine, but this dirty car would never happen at a brick and mortar dealership.
If I could give negative stars I would. I bought my Tesla model 3 on December 21, 2020 and put $4400 down. I bought from Thadrick Holmes and the process was fair for the most part on the day I bought the car. Little did I know that after I paid my down payment it would turn into a nightmare. Till this day (03/30/202) I don’t have my registration sticker. Due to lack of diligence of my salesman, there was an issue with my pay stubs that was easily resolved once it was brought to my attention with the finance company. This issue was brought to my attention late (29 days after purchase) so the finance company asked for another application or extension of the old application. My salesman said everything was ok and that he didn’t need to re-run my credit. 10 minutes later, my credit was re-run without my consent and another app was submitted on my behalf. I didn’t make a big deal because of the excitement of buying my first Tesla. Another month went by and I followed up several times about my registration sticker status. I was told different things each time I called in and spoke to customer care, Thadrick, titling department, title clerk Sophia Stewart, etc. I was finally told that I needed to go and pay to get an inspection done on my brand new car that I just purchased. I did that and emailed it to them. Called and confirmed it was received etc. Longer story short, I don’t have my registration sticker and now have had two temp tags expire and will have to request a third temp tag and no end in sight. Yes, we are going into April 2021 and I still have no resolution and riding around with a temp tag still. I am a disabled veteran and it sucks to not be able to use my DV plates and not know when this will be resolved. The tax assessor office still doesn’t even have the paperwork. I have initiated a dealer complaint with the DMV and will possibly consider litigation options as I am made aware what actions that can be taken at this point. One of the most disappointing things is that I was initially excited to see so much diversity in this organization and happy to work with people that look like me only to be disappointed by the worse car buying experience I have ever had. Sorry this review is so long. Crazy part is, this long review still doesn’t cover everything I experienced that contributed to the lower rating. I have since, bout another expensive vehicle that I initially planned on buying from Vroom but went to CarMax instead and gladly payed them a little more for the vehicle and had and absolutely A1 experience. Should’ve heeded the reviews. Worst finance customer service I’ve ever received (Timothy Thomas in Stafford, TX, specifically). He actually asked me if he could “go home now” after I had questions about the buyers order thinking I wouldn’t ask to review it.nnSales guy, Alvaro, was cool but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Spend the extra $1000+ elsewhere - it’s worth it.
Why are y’all taking months . We are riding with expired paper plates . The least you can do is email an extension car plate. This is by far the worst car buying company ever. I will never recommend y’all . I will have to go up in person to resolve the issue that could of been handled differently. What if I was to pause car payment as well. I’m sure vroom wouldn’t like it and would try to repo the vehicle . Y’all are the worst. Update: they have a automatic message sent to all reviews. How about getting a live rep to assist us. Smh
To be honest, if there was a zero star review, this company would be it. After reading all the negative reviews about this customer services, I chose not to believe it and go with my own intuition and was totally wrong. If you appreciate deceit and misleading information, this is definitely the company to do business with. Customer service is a joke. They will only call you back and follow up until the money has been transferred into their account. Once that is complete, it all goes downhill. No one will reply back to your emails, you will be put on hold for extended periods and get transferred for runarounds. They will literally leave you in the dark for any status updates. At this point, I'm beginning to wonder if the vehicle that I purchased is even as described. I hope and pray to GOD it is because I do not want to deal with this company ever again.
