So I'll admit, when I first pulled up I wasn't convinced.... But once your inside you'll see why Lucky's Barber is so highly rated. Excellent Service, and in a cool, comfortable yet eclectic atmosphere. You will wonder if this is the barbershop or the den you and your buddies hung out in at college.nnMy barber gave me an excellent fade and style I'm super happy with. You can tell they pay attention to detail and are attentive to customers needs in a way that is sometimes forgotten these days. And with modern conveniences like online booking and square card readers they make sure they are ready provide you the service whichever way you want to receive it.
The good: booking was super easy and user-friendly. The barbers were personable and the place has a country-hipster vibe for which YMMV. I appreciate their ability to take multiple payment forms including Venmo and Cash App, especially since I forgot my wallet.nnThe Not-so-good: the actual haircut and beard trim. My barber was over reliant on his clippers versus using scissors and want able to face my beard very well. The $40 haircut/beard trim didn't include a straight razor shave which has been part of the deal in every other barber I've gone to. Only a week or so out and my hair and beard are growing out strangely.nnFrom the rave reviews my case seems to be an outlier but I just don't get the hype.
Although he didn't receive the mullet special ;), Cody gave my son a great cut! The atmosphere is nostalgic with a mix of vintage and modern style. Much larger area than I had imagined; very comfortable for waiting. It's refreshing to see the staff enjoying what they do. The online booking and communication are TOP NOTCH, as well. Great concept and well executed.
Scheduled an appointment with Cody. When I arrived the shop was clean, and Cody wasn’t running behind. Explained what I wanted and he got to cutting. He was very detailed and knew exactly what I was trying to say how I wanted my hair before I could finish my sentence. Traveled to NTX from Destin FL, and I will be returning. Amazing Job!
What a gem! The barber shop gives you that old classic feeling. Looks very clean and well maintained. The smell of the beard oil and shaving cream in the air was amazing! Paige was very nice and took very good care of me. Great job on the high bald fade. On top of that I also had the hot towel treatment and a old fashion blade shave. I was very pleased with my overall experience. You have my business Paige!
