This moving company was completely dishonest with me and I DO NOT recommend using them. I engaged them to move me from Texas to California.nnFirstly, the estimate I was provided was WAY under what it actually cost me to move. I was provided an estimate of $2060 for 51 items and it actually cost me $5200 for 69 items. Now, I do understand the initial number was just an estimate, however, how can it be way off than the actual; it cost me 2.5 items of the estimate even though the number of items increased by less than 50% (and 4 of those items were fold-able patio chairs from costo that were tapped together)? I was not ready for this big a difference even though I ended up not moving some furniture items I provided in the initial estimate, such as the entire dining set and office table. I obviously think the estimate was intentionally underestimated just to bring me to the door and I was given the new cost only after all my stuff was all loaded in the truck, so I didn't have a choice but to pay.nnSecondly, the delivery happened almost 12 hours after the initial delivery time I was provided. I received a call on Thursday and was told my stuff would arrive between 8 and 10AM the next day, Friday. I obviously planned my day accordingly and took off from work. No one showed so I called that number back around 10:15AM and was told the truck was in San Diego and that I should expect the delivery around 3:00 - 4:00. Again, this was AFTER I made the call to inquire. Then, no one showed up and I called again around 4:30 and was told my stuff would not get delivered around 7-8pm. I have a one year old at home and so I requested that instead of delivering this late at night (unloading all stuff would have taken at least 1-1.5 hours) if I could get the delivery next day. I was told that I would have to pay $500 for that and that they wouldn't guarantee my stuff would get delivered tomorrow. Honestly, this was a totally unacceptable answer. The delay was not on my end and I wasn't getting compensated for that delay, then why would I have to pay for the delays caused by the movers?! I was also not being kept informed; I had to be the one to continue to follow up and obviously, the movers did not provide me with the accurate information. I understand there can be unforeseen delays, such as traffic, taking longer to make other deliveries, etc. however, how is that the delay was of 12 hours, I had to be the one accommodating for that delay and not even getting compensated, and whereas the movers are not held accountable at all? I obviously took the delivery on Friday and movers left at 9:00PM, however, this is not the kind of professionalism I expected at all.nnI have moved every 2 years the last 11 years, so I have moved a lot and used my share of moving companies (both in Texas and California) and I have to be admit, this experience was the worst.nnDO NO use them.nnPS: I emailed all this information to the 2 people who were communicating with me prior to the move because I wanted to hear their side of the story before I posted the review, however, they have not responded to me, so I guess that tells something too.

Texas movers group was probably the highest rated company I found on the internet. I factored many things into saying that. Things like years in business, ratings and reviews as well as customer service and appreciation. The process they go through on every single job just to ensure the salesman didn’t make a mistake and I as the customer didn’t overlook any details was unprecedented. They wanted to make sure I was happy with the service and make sure I was not rushed and the inventory was right. On moving day it was perfect. I wasn’t charged a penny more because if their formula they stick to. I could not afford more then we agreed on and I did not wanted a negative path of recourse. Really well done
