Made an appointment for vehicle registration. Fast service. Clerk had some attitude because mileage section wasn’t filled it — so be sure to fill yours in. Otherwise, pretty painless.

Came here to complete the military license plate application process after the main office in Denton transferred my paperwork here. The ladies here are conditioned to turning people away for any reason (coin shortage, missing documents, etc) and the lady I spoke to was quick to tell me I didn't qualify for a specific plate even though the Denton office had already approved my original submission. Had to get a supervisor involved to show her how to read military documents and where to move her mouse cursor to on the screen to complete my application. Completely unprofessional and not even a thank you for the five years I spent in service to this country.nnDo not hesitate to ask for a supervisor the moment you notice your teller struggling. The staff working here have poor training and customer service skills.

This review is not only about this office. I went here to renew my registration and they told me they can help me transfer my title as well. Firstly I didn’t wanna do so and expressed my concern as my inspection only have one day left and they said it’s not gonna b a problem. One months later after I have moved to Houston they send my title back saying they cannot transfer it because my inspection is expired. The. When I try to renew my registration in Houston they told me Denton county left a fail record online so they can’t register for me. And when they contact Denton county tax accessor Denton refuse to forward any document over so I have to go back to Denton.

The Tax side is a breeze and you shouldn't really ever have a wait.nnThe drivers license side is constantly 4-5 hour wait. They don't do appointments. Please make sure you plan accordingly. You only get a seat for a 1/3rd of your wait, so those who have issues standing long periods of time need to be aware.nnThey also fudge their wait times. There is always a line to get in line. This way the wait time they are reporting to the state is only really half the time you are waiting if not less. I am sure this is by design. So when you wait in line for 5 hours your ticket is showing that that you only waited 2 because the 3 hours it took to get a ticket doesn't count in this office. :)
