Had a great Sunday Funday with the boys. Such diversity and fun and Peace.
I appreciate that it's on a quiet street, has an old-school merry-go-round (that from its appearances, is many decades old), and a well-mowed green field (that seems to be sandspur-free) if you wanted to play in, well, a green field. But otherwise, at least from a parent's perspective, this park is subpar at best. The playground sand is full of slivers of glass and fire ants (though let's be honest, it's Texas, the latter are everywhere). There is literally no shaded seating, so every single bench/picnic table is in full sunlight. Yes, the swings work like swings, the merry-go-round spins, and... that's the sum total of the park. There are no sidewalks to walk around on, and no bathroom. And there was a used condom in the playground area, yuck. I won't be back.
