This was our first time eating here and it was excellent! The gumbo was delicious, alligator was good and drinks were so smooth you couldn't taste the alcohol (although it was in there). The service was also good, however the manager was AMAZING! He welcomed us, came to our table, spoke with us and even offered a dessert on the house! He greeted people coming in and thanked them when they left. You could tell his employees enjoyed working for him as well. We will definitely be back! Great first experience!
Having lunch with my Misses!!❤❤❤
The level of service and quality of food at the McKinney location is unmatched. We had dinner and our server Jasmine had great customer service and was very polite and attentive. Got us our drinks, and appetizers out pretty fast and the food was really hot and fresh. Very good experience.
Razzoo's Cajun Cafe I have submitted the below in the “Contact Us” portion of your site, but I do not feel that was enough in this situation. I think it’s important to both share my experience with you to give you the opportunity to make adjustments, but it’s equally important for other customers and potential customers to know what to expect when going to your establishment.nnMy message/Review:nI’d like to start with what I perceive to be your mission statement. When I go to your website the first thing I see is, “At Razzoo’s we try not to take ourselves too seriously. What we do take seriously is our food and our service. To us, nothing is more fun than treating our guests to great food and a great time in one of our restaurants. That’s why we’re here.”nSpecifically focusing on “What we take seriously....our service”. I visited the McKinney location today and my experience was anything, but great. Not even good, fair, or poor. It’s by far the worst experience I’ve had at any restaurant.nHaving expressed the degree of disappointment let me provide the details. We attempted to have lunch at the restaurant and were refused service b/c we knew and were acquainted with other people who were also going to the restaurant. We were multiple families ready to sit separately, adhering to the party of 6 or less rule as stated when you enter the restaurant as well as sit where designated (properly spaced apart) by the restaurant, however b/c we knew one another we were told “we refuse you service” and were asked to leave. Keep in mind no one else was in the restaurant at all. Zero business going on, all of the wait staff watching and apologizing as the manager kicked us out.nI understand that there are rules. We were more than willing to adhere to the rules and like all things you can follow the rules while making them work for you instead of against you. The manager conveyed with his words and actions that he didn’t want our business and more importantly he wanted to be “right” in this situation. His decision was final and he would not take serving the customer seriously. Instead all he would say is “I’m not the bad guy here I’m just doing my job.”nI’m never one to just state that someone should be fired b/c I didn’t get what I want as a customer. I have denied customers what they want many times in my career, but there is a way to do so that requires finesse and enough management experience to do it in a way that doesn’t feel like they have been discriminated against just for knowing other customers entering the restaurant. In this case I take exception and believe this manager has earned himself the opportunity to find a different line of work. Seriously providing great service to the customers is not a priority for him.nAt this point everyone in my party and those in the other parties have all expressed our dislike of the situation and the experience has turned us off of the restaurant. It’s truly sad to have had that happen knowing that many businesses, no matter how wonderful they are, have closed in the last year due to the circumstances and then you have Razoo’s refusing service to people who want to come in, spend money, give you business, provide earnings opportunities for staff with the lowest paying jobs in the market, all the while the salaried manager turns people away.nI can’t see myself being a patron to a restaurant and organization that boasts about how great they treat customers in a mission statement that they have zero intention of actually following. I’m truly disappointed because I used to love going to this restaurant.
I am in Texas for a few days and usually love to stop in at Razzoo’s. This was my first time at this location and it was so gross and the service was awful. Don’t order the punch! They keep it in a bucket without a lid on the floor behind the bar and scoop it out with a cup and their bare hands when needed. I watched several people step over the open bucket, too, so there’s no doubt that dirt from shoes got into the punch. Of course, I don’t recommend the wine either because mine came with lipstick that wasn’t mine. I sat near the bar and there were employees on their break eating near me and the employees working only cared about talking with the employees on break. I practically had to scream each time I needed something. I did get lots of gossip, though! The blonde manager hates the male manager, for instance. Keep on driving - I’m sure you’ll find a better place to eat!
