Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

The staff here are really nice and respectful. Everyone wore mask and practice social distancing. We were seated immediately and that make us less anxious about waiting in a long line. We had a party of 8 so they sat us near the window area which was ideal and comfortable. Our food came out in about 15 to 20 minutes. The waitress made sure that everyone was taken care of and even had good conversation. The food was great especially the huge pancakes. The price for the food was reasonable and not outrageous like most places. After we had breakfast we spent a few dollars in the shopping area. I like the variety of classics candies they had from my childhood which was nostalgic. They even have a section for us Veterans to buy military pictures shirts, and cups. Overall me and my family had a wonderful time here and will most definitely return for the giant pancakes. Worth the visit.

The wait was long, but that was understandable. Once we were sat, our server, Kathy, did an AMAZING job. We had our drinks and food out so quickly. She anticipated what we needed before we even asked, and she made it such a pleasant experience overall. Thank you, Kathy!

Megan was awesome. She is the perfect example of exemplary customer service.nThe food was great. Service was outstanding. The other staff members were very observant and helpful. This was a fine run shift. Did I mention how great of a job Megan did? Yes outstanding.

I ordered breakfast for my office, a fairly large order. They packaged everything perfectly, and everything was hot and fresh, even after a 30 minute commute. They made sure everything was there, including utensils and condiments, and my office had happy bellies when it was all said and done. Would definitely visit this location again!

I went for breakfast: I ordered the double meat breakfast: eggs over easy, all bacon, gravy, biscuits, and grits. The eggs were good and done right and bacon at the right crispy texture. The biscuits arrived lukewarm and the grits were also lukewarm, grainy and soupy. Two strikes like that and I notified my waitress. She apologized (not her fault) for both and offered to bring fresh new biscuits and comp me something else like hash browns which she’s not really allowed to do but would do it anyway. I told her no thanks, I wasn’t a hash browns kind of person. She asked what else i may be interested in and I offered that a pancake might be good. Unbelievably, she said pancakes were not allowed to be used to comp. I asked for the manager and he came over and I explained about the grits. He apologized and took the grits away. The waitress returned with fresh hot biscuits. I finished and was waiting for my check when the manager returned with hot grits. I looked and saw the texture was still grainy. I picked up my spoon and tasted. Yep, soupy too. My guess is my old grits were popped in the microwave and heated up. The problem is grits don’t work getting cooked in the microwave. No good. Although on occasion I would have not so stellar experiences at Cracker Barrel, never had I ever had a negative experience there. Until now. A simple pancake would have fixed the issue but the pancake was far too important to the Cracker Barrel Corporation. Keeping a pancake is more important than making a positive customer experience. How sad. I have other breakfast options and Cracker Barrel has other customers. I’ll take my business where the restaurant values my patronage.
